Here are some wellbeing resources that you may find useful when planning how you can support children and young people’s wellbeing:

  • Before using any of the resources, always make yourself familiar with the content and carefully consider if they will be appropriate and useful for your class.
  • If there are any online resources that your school has found useful, please get in touch, as we’d love to hear about them.

Wellbeing game

Developed as part of the Cannon Hall Museum, Park and Gardens Wellbeing Project, designed to increase connection to nature and to inspire curiosity in surroundings.

BBC Teach – Moodboosters

  • For Primary Schools
  • Short, simple and fun dedicated educational resources, inspirational videos and activities are available for free

  • Moodboosters provide teachers with interactive classroom activities that can be used throughout the school day.
  • Support the PSHE curriculum for 5 – 11 year-olds.
  • Give children the tools and language to help them manage their feelings and learn emotional and social skills.
  • Curriculum-linked videos along with a teacher guide to support using Moodboosters in lessons.
  • No extra equipment is required!”.

BBC Teach ‘The Brain Lab’

  • A collection of short films on mindset and mindfulness, as well as a video guide for teachers which introduces the concept of mindsets and mindfulness and suggests ways the films can be used in class”

Wellbeing, Creativity and Young People Guide

  • Prepared by Jo Stockdale (founder of ‘Well Within Reach’) and commissioned by The Mighty Creatives.

    “Created for education professionals – supporting students in the midst and aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic – this free guide explores the relationship between learning and wellbeing.

    It considers the positive impact of creativity on children and young people’s ‘learning brains’ and how this can help to strengthen young people’s wellbeing and resilience.

    The guide also includes a series of practical and creative activities that educators can use in the classroom.
