Meet The Team

Introduction to the Fusion Team

Ruth Wood

Ruth joined the team in the summer of 2022 as Fusion’s Network Manager, leading on strategy and programming. She has been connecting with new, existing, and lapsed partners, to understand the priorities they are facing and how the LCEP can enable them to meet their priorities, as well as ensure that these are aligned with Fusion’s shared purposes. Ruth has led the creation and implementation of the new Stream delivery model and has led on programme delivery for the Early Years and Primaries Streams, as well as Fusion’s first Festival of Joy (in Summer 2023).

Sara Mair

Sara has been a co-ordinator of Fusion since 2019. A freelancer with 20 years’ experience, Sara has facilitated a range of creative collaborative projects with partners including Reading Agency during the pandemic, Creative Camps, the Covid Memorial Sculpture Competition, and much more. The ambition to bring high quality arts and cultural opportunities to the Borough’s children and young people is just one of the many reasons Sara loves working with the Fusion partnership.

Jane Robinson

Jane is Fusion’s Arts Network Lead for schools, as well as being an Assistant Head at Hoyland Common Primary School. The role involves devising plans to work with clusters to reignite the Arts Award, as well as leading a programme of CPD to help embed creative learning in schools. Both activities will help strengthen the education sector in Barnsley and Fusion’s role across the borough.

Matthew Potter

Matthew has been providing vital marketing and communications support, by assisting in the development of promotional and advocacy documents. These enable the arts, culture and education sectors to learn from each other to embed a creative curriculum in schools across the borough.
