Fusion, Barnsley’s Cultural Education Partnership, is seeking to contract up to 10 artists/creative practitioners/arts and cultural organisations on a freelance basis to deliver one of four weekly online activity sessions (three in August and one in October 2020) bringing high quality arts and cultural experiences to children and families in Barnsley this summer.
This exciting pilot project is delivered by Fusion (Barnsley’s Cultural Education Partnership) and funded by IVE, the Arts Council of England’s Bridge organisation for Yorkshire and Humber. It will bring existing Fusion partners and the wider arts/cultural community in Barnsley together to work in new collaborations and through new ways to engage children and families remotely. It presents a great opportunity for artists/cultural organisations to extend their networks, build capacity and reach wider audiences through exciting new approaches.
The activities will offer families a chance to experience a wide range of arts and cultural approaches with sessions based around an activity broadly themed to support wellbeing. Artists will need to use their artform to interpret the theme.
Below you can download a brief and short expression of interest form – please note there is a tight timeframe for the application with a deadline of 12 noon on Friday July 24th. If you have any queries please don’t hesitate to contact Fusion Co-ordinator, Sara Mair at [email protected] or on 07944 911093.
